What Is ROXFIT Ultra
The free app stays free. Ultra is what's built on top.
ROXFIT Ultra is our premium subscription, built around two pillars: Compete and AthleteIQ. This guide covers what each one actually does, what you already get for free, and how to decide if Ultra's worth it for you.
1. What ROXFIT Ultra is
ROXFIT Ultra is our premium subscription. It sits on top of the free app, not instead of it. Workouts, HYPE, PaceMe (now Race Goals), race tracking, results and your profile all stay free. Ultra adds a new layer on top of that: ways to compete that go beyond logging a session, and analysis that goes deeper than your splits.
Ultra is built around two core pillars:
- Compete - a new way to race previous efforts, challenge friends, and build your Ultra Level as you train.
- AthleteIQ - a new way to understand your performance, through predictions, personalised pacing, and progression tracking.
2. Compete: race yourself, race friends, level up
Compete turns training into a game. Every workout counts toward your own persistent Ultra Level, and Compete gives you ways to race that aren't just "do the workout and log it."
What's in it
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Race Your Past Self | Race a previous effort and see your progress against it in real time. |
| Race Friends | Go head-to-head against a friend's effort, same workout, same target. |
| Ultra Level | A persistent number that moves with every workout you complete. It's where you're at, not just what you did today. |
| Leaderboards | See where you rank against friends and the wider ROXFIT community. |
| Challenges | Time-limited events, always something on the calendar worth training for. |
In practice: instead of just completing a workout, you pick who or what you're racing, your own past attempt, a friend, or a challenge leaderboard, and the whole session gets paced against that target. Your Ultra Level moves as a result.
Every athlete gets one Challenge a month for free, with a full leaderboard and a challenge-specific level. Ultra is what makes that persistent and unlimited, rather than a once-a-month sample.
3. AthleteIQ: understand your training and racing
Where Compete is the game, AthleteIQ is the analysis. It's built for the question every HYROX athlete asks after a race: where did I actually gain or lose time, and what do I do about it.
What's in it
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Race Predictions | An estimate of what time you'll finish a race in, based on the information we know about you. |
| Personalised Pacing | Pacing and split recommendations built from your own race and training history, not a flat target time. |
| Multi-Race Analysis | See where time is gained or lost across your race history, not just within one race. |
| Performance Trends | Longer-term trends across your training and racing, not just a single session snapshot. |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Surfaces where your biggest opportunities actually are, station by station. |
| Progress Tracking | Measures improvement over weeks, months and seasons. |
In practice: after a race or workout, instead of just seeing your splits, you see how they compare to your own history, what that means for your next race, and where your training time is actually best spent.
One thing that isn't changing: manual target-time PaceMe (now Race Goals) stays free. That's a permanent part of the free app, not a launch promotion. What's Ultra-only is personalised pacing built from your own data, plus full AthleteIQ analysis that goes beyond the short free summary you already get after a claimed race, workout or challenge.
4. Free vs Ultra
| Free | Ultra | |
|---|---|---|
| Training and workouts | Full access | Same, plus Compete gamification on top |
| PaceMe (now Race Goals) | Manual target-time pacing | Adds personalised pacing from your own data |
| Monthly challenge | One monthly challenge, full leaderboard | Unlimited Compete access, persistent Ultra Level, friend and past-effort racing |
| Post-activity insight | One short AI summary per claimed race, workout or challenge | Full AthleteIQ analysis |
| Race history | Current stats and leaderboards | Multi-race analysis, trends, predictions, strengths and weaknesses |
5. How to get ROXFIT Ultra
ROXFIT Ultra is a single monthly or annual subscription, no tiers to work out and no separate feature packs. Manage or start your subscription from the Profile tab in the app.
6. Frequently asked questions
What is ROXFIT Ultra?
ROXFIT Ultra is ROXFIT's premium subscription, built around two pillars: Compete, which turns training into racing yourself, your friends, and a persistent Ultra Level, and AthleteIQ, which gives you deeper insight into your performance with predictions, personalised pacing, and trend analysis across your races and training.
Does Ultra replace the free app?
No. Everything in the free ROXFIT app stays free, workouts, HYPE, PaceMe (now Race Goals), race tracking, results and your profile. Ultra adds on top of it.
Is PaceMe (now Race Goals) still free with Ultra?
Manual target-time PaceMe (now Race Goals) is free permanently, for every athlete. Ultra adds personalised pacing built from your own race and training history on top of that.
What's the difference between Compete and AthleteIQ?
Compete is about racing, yourself, friends, and the community, and levelling up as you train. AthleteIQ is about understanding your performance through predictions, pacing and trend analysis. Most Ultra athletes use both together.
Do free users get any of this?
Yes. Every athlete gets one monthly challenge with a full leaderboard, plus one short AI summary after each claimed race, workout or challenge. Ultra makes both unlimited and persistent instead of a monthly taste.
